Eggs, flour, immature kids

Today was the PΓ¨re Cent, a French tradition which basically consists in throwing eggs and flour at high schoolers 100 days before our finals. I got some egg on my old jacket, which was a pain, but I mostly enjoyed watching my classmates look dumb and attack each other with handfuls of flour. Okay, it’s supposed to be fun and I guess it doesn’t do any harm (except when you get an eggshell in your eye), but I can’t think of a more pointless, food-wasting “tradition”. The only thing it makes me think of is the fact that we have only 100 days left to finish off our school program and revise… yep  As a result, most of my classmates were absent and there were only seven kids in class, which was good since the teacher surprised us with an apple tart… and less people meant more tart for us serious fellows!

Tomorrow I’m going to watch Valentine’s Day, which I honestly am not terribly keen on watching. Correct me if I’m wrong, but it looks like every other typical rom com, or at least, judging by the trailer, a poor attempt at making an American Love Actually. But hey, it gives me a chance to keep my mom company, get out of the house and enjoy some popcorn, and I may end up liking it

On a happier note, I’m now on holiday! It’s great to be able to relax just a little bit more once in a while
